Laboratory UV Technology
Manufacturer for UV Technology
UV technology for numerous areas of application
The reliable UV technology of our manufacturers BioSan, Dinies or Telstar is used in a wide variety of areas. These include, in particular, biological and medical research laboratories, where the devices are used, for example, for biological analyses as well as for cleaning and disinfecting laboratory, clinic and waiting rooms as well as laboratory equipment.
Optimal cleaning of UV boxes or PCR boxes ensures clean work with DNA samples and for PCR experiments. In the life sciences and genetic research, UV technology is used, for example, for (fluorescent) dyes to observe metabolic processes in living cells or to make components of cells visible during biological work steps.
In mineralogy, UV technology is used to analyse mineral components of samples, in forensics to detect biological traces such as blood, saliva or sperm. Other areas of application are
- dentistry,
- electronics manufacturing,
- photolithography,
- the lacquer, paint and printing industries,
- or the cleaning, detergent and textile industries.
In cosmetics and medicine, modern technology is used, for example, for the therapeutic treatment of certain skin diseases. In mineralogy, UV technology is used to analyse mineral components of samples , in forensics to detect biological traces.
UV technology: multiple functions
UV technologies perform a variety of tasks in laboratories and industry, such as drying, curing, gluing, sterilising and measuring. Ultraviolet radiation is electromagnetic radiation that is invisible to us and has a wavelength shorter than that of visible light but longer than that of X-rays. UV light can be divided into three ranges: long-wave UV-A, short-wave UV-B and very short-wave UV-C radiation.
UV technology with UV-A or UV-B radiation
UV technology with UV-A or UV-B is often used for drying varnishes, inks and potting compounds. For laboratory applications, we offer smaller unit type UV chambers .
UV technology with UV-C radiation
UV technology with UV-C of different wavelengths offers many areas of application for UV disinfection and cleaning. UV-C radiation with a wavelength of 253.7 nm is thus particularly suitable for UV disinfection of air, water, surfaces and other applications due to its germicidal effect.
UV-C radiation in the wavelength range around 185 nm has a special effect, as this radiation converts oxygen molecules in the air into ozone, it is excellently suited for air purification, odour neutralisation, etc. For this purpose, we offer various UV lamps, UV air purifiers and portable UV units.
UV unit types at a glance
We offer various types of UV units for different applications. The spectrum of models offered ranges from mobile UV units that can be equipped with UV lamps or ozone lamps; various stationary UV lamps and UV air purifiers for air and surface disinfection.
In addition, our range offers a selection of UV chambers for polymerising plastics, erasing EPROM, curing adhesives, sterilising and drying surfaces; up to larger UV boxes designed for clean laboratory work with DNA samples, e.g. for PCR experiments.
Accordingly, we currently divide the devices into the different types: UV lamp, UV air cleaner, PCR box, UV chamber and UV mobile.
