pro-emit Chip Cree CXB 3590 2700k Warm White (000N0HCB27G)
CXB3590-0000-000N0HCB27G

The Cree CXB line is the most powerful line currently available on the market. The Cree CXB 3590 2700k Warm White is one of the most efficient COBs on the market and offers outstanding performance in every respect.
Its efficiency can be further increased by operating below its full power of 3600 mA / 130 W (36 V version). In our DIY kits, for example, we operate it at 1400 mA / 50 W to achieve an optimal combination of performance and efficiency.

We recommend using the Cree CXB 3590 2700k Warm White for the fruit phase.

COB: chip-on-board technology

Our LED chips are designed as Chip-On-Board (better known as COB) LEDs. This means that the LEDs are mounted on a ceramic board. It is characterized by the fact that many individual modules are lined up next to each other. Due to the good heat dissipation, the individual parts do not overheat even in the smallest of spaces, while they can generate larger amounts of light radiation.

Due to their flat design, they are particularly suitable for use in headlight housings and are also ideally suited for our purposes. They radiate evenly, broadly, reliably and strongly and thus supply the necessary light that your plants need.

LED Chips: from-to

Just as plants do not need only one light setting for growth, our LEDs only have one variant available. On the contrary: there are important differences in light colour, wavelength and power. The beam angle is basically the same for all our LED chips, but can be adjusted by using optics.

Light color and wavelengths

One of the most important factors for plant growth is the wavelength of the light radiation that hits the plant. The plant reacts differently depending on whether the light is emitted in the form of short wavelength photons or long waves. The lamp can then be aligned accordingly.

If the plants are still young and small, they are therefore first grown into seedlings, short-wave light in the range of 6500 K is required. This would be the case, for example, with the Cree CXB 3590 6500k Cool White. The further the plant grows, the longer the wavelength mix can be. As soon as the first fruits sprout, you can vary wavelengths to 2700 K with the Cree CXB 3590 2700k Warm White.

If you don't have the possibility to spatially separate growth and fruit phases, we recommend the CXB 3590 3500k - the all-purpose weapon! When it comes to a neutral spectrum with a good proportion of blue and red -> 95% of customers can't be wrong - our best-selling chip.

Performance differences

The luminous intensity is also decisive. Depending on how wide the field is to be irradiated by the lamp or how deep it has to transport sufficient light, it needs more or less power. With some structures less is needed, with some more PPFD- this is the name given to the unit that measures the luminous flux incident on a certain surface.

Beam angle

The standard beam angle of our COB LED chips is 115°. This is actually already very wide. If you don't want to illuminate a very large area, you are well advised to mount a reflector in front of the chip. These reflectors, also called optics or lenses, are there to bundle the radiation so that the scattered light is reduced and no photons are lost on the way to the plant.

Far Red LEDs

For complementing the spectrum and for the transition from the day to the night phase, so-called Far Red LEDs are now popular. They emit a deep red light that activates certain processes in the plant to stabilize growth, which ultimately accelerates flowering. These LED modules can be installed without soldering and hold quite simply with an adhesive pad and screws.
