Retsch Cross Beater Mill SK 300

The beater cross mill SK 300 is suitable for coarse and fine comminution.
The mill is used for processing medium-hard and brittle materials and is easy to operate.
For increased sample discharge and for processing heat-sensitive samples, an optionally available cyclone suction unit can be used instead of the gravity outlet.

Product advantages

  • Extensive accessories with various rotors, ring sieves and cassettes
  • Defined final fineness through bottom sieves with hole widths from 0.12 to 10 mm
  • Adjustable speed for different applications
  • Gravity outlet with 5 l or 30 l collecting vessel for batchwise comminution of larger sample quantities
  • Optionally available cyclone suction unit with 0.25 - 0.5 - 1 - 2 - 5 or 30 litre collecting vessel
  • Grinding insert, beater cross and bottom sieve can be replaced quickly and without tools and are therefore particularly easy to clean
  • Electric motor brake
  • Quick-release door lock

Application examples
Soils, ores, gypsum, glass, granite, coal, coke, minerals, oxide ceramics, fireclay, slag, crushed stone, cement clinker.

Operating principle
Size reduction in the SK 300 takes place by impact. The feed material passes through the hopper directly into the grinding chamber centre. There it is caught by the beater cross and crushed between the impact plates of the beater cross and the toothed grinding insert.
As soon as the material is smaller than the hole width of the inserted bottom sieve, it passes this and enters the collection container through the gravity outlet.
The air sucked in by the beater cross through the hopper accelerates the discharge of the shredded material. A downstream filter system separates the airborne fines.
The optionally available cyclone separator not only ensures good cooling of the material to be ground and the cutting tools, but also improves the discharge of the sample from the grinding chamber.
