Vacuum extraction systems and their functions

Extraction systems are indispensable devices in the laboratory for extracting liquid supernatants by means of vacuum. For this purpose, suction systems have a number of different functions. As vacuum technology devices, they have a connection to external vacuum sources or are equipped with a vacuum pump. In most models, the chemical-resistant diaphragm pump, vacuum regulator and other components such as safety bottle holders are contained in a compact housing.

The suction pump is a diaphragm vacuum pump that generates a vacuum to suck off the liquid supernatants and fill them into the autoclavable PP or glass collection bottles, most of which are equipped with a self-sealing quick-release coupling. A replaceable safety filter in front of the vacuum pump protects it and the environment from contamination. To regulate the suction speed, suction power and vacuum pump, suction systems have controls, handles, foot switches or automatic devices. The suction pump is an ideal solution for clean, fast and efficient removal of liquids.
