Manufacturer for Vessels
Laboratory vessels and lab containers - areas of application
The supplied containers and vessels in different materials and sizes by various manufacturers are predominantly used in all manner of applications in the laboratory. They are mainly employed in laboratories in the field of chemistry, biology, physics, medical, pharmaceuticals, microbiology, food technology and in the materials and textile industry. However, the use of glass, plastic or stainless steel laboratory vessels is not just restricted to research, scientific, industrial, university and specialist college laboratories as some of the double-walled stainless steel or aluminium containers are also used by special storage and transport companies and for specialised disposal in the waste management industry. Additionally, many hospitals, pharmacies, medical and dental practices use sterile laboratory vessels and laboratory containers for medical purpose, such as for blood samples or drugs and for the correct disposal of alcohol, solvents, acids, alkalis and other hazardous substances.
Lab vessels & containers - use in the laboratory
Different laboratory vessels and containers are indispensable in every chemistry laboratory for most laboratory work and experiments involving samples, solvents, chemicals, microorganisms, bacterial cultures etc. In addition to the sample vessels, glass flasks, laboratory glasses, laboratory beakers, reaction vessels or centrifuge vessels that are used every day in laboratories, there are also special vessels and containers for the storage, transportation and disposal of sensitive samples, gases, hazardous substances as well as exsiccators in the form of air-tight, sealable glass vessels in which liquids can be removed from solids. In this overview of our laboratory equipment shop we are therefore also including special protective vessels, safety containers and disposal containers for laboratory waste, storage containers for long-term storage as well as transport containers for biological materials and other hazardous substances. Many of the glass, aluminium or stainless steel containers are double-walled Dewer vessels for the thermal insulation of the substances to be stored.
Laboratory containers & vessels - Materials: glass, plastic, stainless steel, ...
The correct choice of container and vessel material depends on their intended use in the laboratory and the contents. Compared with many other materials, glass laboratory vessels & laboratory containers exhibit a must higher resistance to heat, water, acids, alkalis, chemicals or salt solutions. Transparent laboratory glass mainly consists of simple soda-lime glass or of very chemical and temperature-resistant borosilicate glass. In turn, laboratory containers and laboratory vessels made of plastic are lighter and more resistant to breakage, but are not always scratch-proof or dimensionally stable and are more sensitive to many chemicals, acids and alkalis. Furthermore, plastic vessels are often flammable. Stainless steel safety vessels & and laboratory containers are unbreakable and resistant to nearly all media such as solvents, acids and most chemicals, and, thanks to their polished surface, they are particularly easy to clean.
