We have adapted the article search in our online catalogue, using a filter function, to you as a customer, so that you can easily find the right rotor for your personal use.
Rotors in centrifuges are used for the separation of substances due to different densities both in industry and in various laboratories. In addition to separating liquids, centrifuges are also used in the laboratory to separate solids from liquids. Here you use centrifuge tubes for the application of the rotors, as these have a thick wall thickness and are therefore more hard-wearing than test tubes. The differences between swing-out rotors and fixed-angle rotors lie primarily in the handling of centrifugation. In the case of fixed-angle rotors, the sample tubes are at a fixed angle to the rotor axis; in the case of swing-out rotors, the tubes are suspended in holders where they are aligned by gravity. Fixed-angle rotors are fixed and do not move. Swing-out rotors swing out with their buckets depending on the revolutions of the device.
