Vacuum Controller - applications
Vacuum controllers are mainly utilised in laboratories and industrial enterprises. As special vacuum technology appliances, our vacuum controllers are used in chemical laboratories, in biotechnology, medicine, production and assembly. A vacuum controller allows vacuum processes in the laboratory to be regulated, measured and monitored. For this, the vacuum, measuring and control devices have to fulfil high requirements in terms of resistance to chemicals, reliability, measuring precision and user-friendliness. Many applications in the laboratory require a regulated vacuum. Possible uses of the offered MLT vacuum controllers are therefore the control of vacuum diaphragm pumps, vacuum and cooling water valves, vacuum evaporation, filtering, evacuation and concentration, in exsiccators as well as in rotary evaporators or solvent separation through distillation.
Vacuum Controller - functions
Vacuum controllers are responsible for a number of tasks in the laboratory, have a wide range of different functions and are primarily used for regulating, measuring and controlling vacuum processes. As a vacuum regulating device a vacuum controller can considerably extend the service life of uncontrolled vacuum diaphragm pumps as the pump always switches off when no vacuum is required which prevents the pump unit from operating continuously. Changing the maximum suction capacity of the uncontrolled pump can take place in various ways using a vacuum controller: either through cyclical switching on and off of the pump, through cyclical opening and closing of a suction line valve or through continuous adaptation of the pump speed. Vacuum controllers have automatic nominal value recognition and correction functions. As vacuum measuring instruments they measure the difference between atmospheric pressure and different pressure ranges: (1 mbar) low vacuum, 10-3 mbar (fine vacuum), 10-7 mbar (high vacuum) or 10-7 mbar (ultra-high vacuum). Most vacuum controllers are equipped with a ceramic chemicals-resistant, precision pressure sensor. Pressure recorders made of aluminium oxide ceramics provide very good resistance to corrosion and high long-term stability. The measurement display is dependent on gas type and depending on the specific conductivity of the gas differs from calibration in air. With measuring sensors cooling water and steam temperatures can be measured. Like almost all modern laboratory devices, our vacuum controllers have interfaces that also the recording of measurements by PC.
