Industrial & Laboratory Dust Extractors and Cleaning Machines - areas of application
In the online shop, you will find a large number of different cleaning devices by reputable manufacturers for a wide variety of applications in industry, building trades, laboratories or medical practices. These include small, mobile extraction devices, ultrasonic cleaning devices, UV cleaners, autoclaves or distilling apparatuses. In this range, we mainly carry large cleaning and suction technology such as diverse extractors which include, for example, both stationary and mobile industrial vacuum cleaners, welding fume filters or oil mist separators. Here we also offer the latest cleaning and disinfection machines for laboratories of all sizes as well as various steam cleaners or brush cleaning systems.
Our comprehensive range of dust extractors contains various types of devices for preventing/reducing different kinds of dust in the air and at the workplace which could cause diseases such as cancer or asthma or could irritate the throat, lungs, nasal mucosa or bronchi. Accordingly, the dust extractors are used in many branches of industry such as the construction, chemical, textile, metal, wood, paper and automotive industries.
Dust Extractors and Industrial Vacuum Cleaners - dust classes
Cleaning equipment for the extraction of hazardous dusts is currently divided into three classes, depending on the field of application and the suitability of the equipment for the intended purpose. Dust-removing machines such as the various dust extractors, industrial vacuum cleaners and brush cleaning systems we offer are subject to certain tests procedures and standards. EN 60335-2-69 constitutes an international regulation on the requirements and classification of dust extractors and the handling of hazardous dusts in Europe.
Class L: The requirements relating to extractors in dust class L are very simple as class L dusts are only classified as being slightly hazardous. In extractors of this classification, the airflow does not have to be measured and neither is special disposal of the extracted dust necessary. With regard to filtration for all dusts with a threshold limit value (TLV) > 1 mg/m3 the maximum permeability of the extractor is 1%.
Class M: Extractors in dust class M are subject to relatively high requirements in relation to filtration, for all dusts with a TLV > 0.1 mg/m3 and for wood dust. The maximum permeability of the extractor is only 0.1%. Class M extraction systems require measurement of the air flow and low-dust disposal. Dust extractors (dust class M not vacuum cleaners) can be used for cleaning purposes and for direct extraction on machines and devices.
Class H: The highest demands are placed on dust collectors for dust class H, which is considered extremely dangerous. These dusts include carcinogenic dusts, dust types with germs and bacteria as well as asbestos. For class H dust extractors and vacuum cleaners' measurement of the airflow and dust-free disposal are necessary.
Note: For all dusts with TLV values the maximum permeability of the extractor is only 0.005%. Zone 22 suction devices must also be suitable for combustible dusts of all dust explosion classes. The electric dust extractors are also explosion-protected. An overview of the dust classes and requirements can be seen in an IFA table.
