Laboratory Pumps - areas of application
Laboratory pumps are indispensable lab equipment for a variety of different applications in the laboratory. The laboratory pumps, pump systems and compressors we supply are therefore used in the chemical industry, biotechnology, dentistry and medicine, laboratories, analysis, dispensing, measuring and environmental technology as well as in university research, the pharmaceutical or food industry. Laboratory pumps are mainly employed for precisely regulating, measuring, monitoring, conveying, evacuating and dispensing neutral to highly-aggressive gases, vapours, fluids or chemicals. Due to their low maintenance, operational quietness and long service life the powerful laboratory vacuum pumps in our lab equipment shop are preferred solutions in many different laboratory applications.
Lab Vacuum Membrane Diaphragm Pumps - manufacturers
Our online shop only contains high-quality lab pumps by renowned manufacturers that guarantee safe and reliable pumping in your laboratory. The leading manufacturers of laboratory pumps include KNF, Heidolph, Hirschmann, Bürkle, Flux or Ismatec. We also carry pumps by other established pump manufacturers such as Grant, Dürr, MLT, Witeg, Macherey Nagel or Ingenieurbüro CAT M. Zipperer, whose laboratory pumps have proven themselves in practice for many years. In addition to numerous different laboratory pumps, our pump range also includes selected compressors by EKOM-AIR or DÜRR.
Lab Pumps - types
Only types of devices for transporting incompressible fluids are generally designated as pumps and these are sub-divided into two or three main groups depending on their manner of operation. Self-priming displacement pumps convey the medium in enclosed volumes. Back-flow is prevented by valves, other media or gravity. Dynamic pumps, also known as rotary pumps are not self-priming. In the case of these pumps a flow is only brought about through flow-mechanical processes. The medium flows freely through the pump without any valves. Jet pumps convey the medium through a jet of gas, steam or water. Depending on the type of medium the pump must be made of a material that is suitable for this and resistant to the medium to be filled. In many laboratories special health and safety at work regulations must also be observed, i.e. in relation to explosion protection. At present we offer the following types of pumps with different maximum outputs for applications in the laboratory:
- canister and drum pump
- diaphragm pump
- foot pump
- hand pump
- laboratory pump
- lever pump
- microdosing pump
- peristaltic pump
- piston pump
- pumping system
- solvent pump
- turbine pump
