BioSan device for imaging of colourimetric microarrays/elispots ImagerBio C
The ImagerBio C is a compact and portable device for imaging of colourimetric microarrays and elispots.
The instrument operates in brightfield and darkfield illumination modes as standard, with illumination from below and above respectively, and can work with 96-well plates, 12x8-well plates as well as microscopic glasses (in a special adapter).
It is equipped with a high-sensitivity CMOS camera and has an automatic mechanism for ejecting 96-well plates outside the housing.
The device uses various autofocus methods.
The ImagerBio C can be powered by a portable 20-volt lithium-ion battery, allowing it to be used for field studies or point-of-care.
The compact design allows the unit to be carried in aircraft hand luggage.
Software features:
- Works with microarray or Elispot interface.
- End-user interface with simplified function where the user only selects the assay, loads the samples and receives the results. Visual validation step is optional
- Automated image acquisition, analysis and reporting (up to 12x12 arrays in 96-well plates in less than 3 minutes).

- Password-protected assay developer interface with full access to extensive software parameters
- Analysis of images based on average/mean intensity of spots
- Qualitative/quantitative analysis of the arrays

- Quantitative assays with 4/5 parameter logistic functions, etc.
- Setting of multi-level interpretation thresholds for different sample types in the same well (e.g. tolerance to egg and lettuce)
