ElectroHEAT Standard heating hood series SH, 5 lThe ElectroHEAT E & E heaters of the series SH are handmade. They have a crocheted inner and outer mantle made of glass fibers and are used to heat liquids in round bottom flasks.
The heat conductor is made of a NiCr alloy 8020. It is wrapped by a glass fiber tube and is crocheted with a yarn of glass fibers in the inner jacket of the heating hood. Thus, the heat is evenly distributed to the glass flask. The glass fiber tube and the glass yarn also serve as insulation. To ensure that no or only a little heat can reach the outer jacket, the heating hood is insulated inside with glass wool.
